Sustainability Presentation

There is not much I would do different, however I think that we could have started to work earlier in order to not be over-stressed for time. Moreover I feel I progress a lot on working on my assertive skills while working in group.

In conclusion I enjoyed to work on this project. I think sustainability is a very important topic nowadays, and exploring the different steps in the supply chain and sourcing solutions that will help to save the plant was interesting. The process was very positive and working with Arinola was a great experience.

The great part of the experience was to explore and find examples of changes in the supply chain in order to make the process more eco-friendly and sustainable. I was really surprised to read about many interesting and innovative developments. For example, the Marks and Spencer teardrop trailers are reducing CO2 emissions and energy and can contain more load   than usual truck.  (M&S, 2007) Because we both coming from different cultures we both brought the examples from particular references.   

(Eliademy, 2016) It was really interesting to explore and learn about both models. Moreover, we found out that most of the companies are using nowadays the linear economy model. While some big retailers such as H&M want to become 100% circular.

When I found out that I'm working with Arinola I was really satisfied, because we never worked together before. During all the process we enjoyed working with each other. We shared stories and study cases, as well as examples we already knew from former studies. Overall I was really happy with our opportunity to work together as a team.   

1th post- Description The Retailing and commercialisation teacher assigned Arinola and me to work as a group on the sustainability presentation. We firstly decided to split the work as we required to analyse the supply chain steps. Arinola was in charge of Garment Manufacturer, Transport of Garment and Retail Outlets. I was responsible to search about Fibers, transport, and textile companies. I mainly used materials and case studies to better understand the process. After the Easter break, we both decided that it would be more effective to work together face to face. Indeed, we found out that we both needed to have a full view on the supply chain steps to handle the analysis and the recommendations. Moreover, as both expressive and easy to communicate people, we were really excited and more motivated to search and discuss together.
